Booking
Entering the farm and participating in activities including interacting with livestock can be risky. Entry and participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk, by making a booking you agree to this and the following conditions, and accept the responsibility of risk to yourself or anyone in your care.
Booking Cancellation
Bookings can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance for a refund less a $10 booking correction fee will apply.
If cancelling within 48 hours a reschedule to another day is only available. A $10 booking correction fee will apply, at our discretion.
Bookings will go ahead in all weather except extreme heat and storms.
If we cancel due to unexpected circumstances or weather, we will fully refund your booking or provide a booking credit or voucher for you to re book within 12 months, at our discretion.
General Conditions
Bookings are essential and pre-booked before you visit.
Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early.
Our animal and staff health, safety and welfare are our main priority. You are required to be gentle and show respect at all times. As well as follow directions from staff. Otherwise, you will be told to leave and no refund will be offered.
Our animals are very friendly, well-handled and like being around people, however animals can be unpredictable and caution should be used at all times as well as supervision of your children.
Children will not be permitted to handle, feed, pat or walk amongst the animals without an adult being with them.
There is a possibility of ponies being spooked by sudden movements and also kicking out if you are standing behind them so please follow all instructions when moving around the ponies and stay where they can see you.
Farms can be a dangerous place to visit. Trees, fencing, wildlife e.g. snakes, bees, wasps and uneven terrain can all pose a risk.
Dogs are NOT allowed to visit and must NOT be left at your vehicle.
Professional photographers are not permitted without prior approval filming you or your own family is allowed for your private use only.
If you run late, you may miss some time off your session, the staff will try to accommodate, but your session may need to still finish at the booked time.
What to wear
Dress appropriately for the weather.
Wear enclosed shoes, in winter or after rain we recommend boots.
During the visit you will be walking around in the paddock and through vegetable gardens so you will get dirty. We will not be held responsible for dirty or damaged clothing or possessions.
We have a toilet available (not wheelchair accessible at this time).
We are a farm on a hill, prams and wheelchairs can be dangerous. Please call or email for advice before booking or visiting.
Maroota Miniature Farm
Terms and Conditions of entry apply to all guests entering the Farm at anytime.
All guests agree to abide by Maroota Miniature Farm terms and conditions of entry.
A guest is any persons or person on the grounds managed by Maroota Miniature Farm or by virtue of a ticket or for any other reason. A guest must enter via a public entrance and, where applicable, pay the farm entrance fee. Guests are not permitted to enter or remain in the farm premises outside published public hours of operation.
It is the express condition of entry and participation in the activities conducted by Maroota Miniature Farm, that guests do hereby for themselves, their children, or anyone in their care and next of kin and each of them release, waive and discharge Maroota Miniature Farm, its officers, directors, agents and employees of and from all liability, claims or demands for any injury, loss or damages of any kind or nature to the guest or property of the guest, or to that of any minor under the supervision of a guest whilst on the property managed by Maroota Miniature Farm.
1. FARM ENTRY TICKETS
When purchasing a Farm Entry Ticket, guests must comply with the following conditions:
a) General Admission pre-purchased tickets and day passes are valid for the date of purchase and cannot be extended.
b) Each ticket is valid for one visit to Maroota Miniature Farm only, except annual passes.
c) Tickets are non-refundable.
d) There will be no ticket refunds or rain checks for inclement weather, animals resting, off-exhibit animals or animals sleeping, or reduced visit due to your arriving late to your session.
e) Lost, stolen or destroyed tickets cannot be replaced.
2. CHILDREN 0-14 YEARS OF AGE
Guests under the age of 14 years must be supervised by an accompanying adult. An adult is deemed to be any person 18 years and over. In the interest of safety and for guest enjoyment, we recommend that guests apply the following minimum child to adult ratio when visiting Maroota Miniature Farm:
– Children under 5 years: 1 adult to 3 children.
– Children 5-8 years: 1 adult to 6 children.
– Children 9-14 years: 1 adult to 10 children.
3. BEHAVIOUR ON PREMISES
Guests to the farm must not, while on the premises operated by Maroota Miniature Farm :
a) Use or bring bicycle or tricycle, or sporting equipment that may be a danger to animals or persons.
b) Throw sticks or rocks at the animals or as a game.
c) Light a fire, mark, deface or write on any to the farm’s property.
d) Take or bring animals onto the property.
e) Bring or carry an inflated balloon or ball.
f) Fail to comply with a notice, sign or direction erected by Maroota Miniature Farm.
g) Fail to comply with a verbal direction provided by Maroota Miniature Farm staff.
h) Use any audio equipment or musical instrument at a volume likely to disturb any animal.
i) Behave in a manner that is likely to cause offence or disruption to other farm guests.
j) Touch or interfere with any animal or vegetation, remove or disturb rocks, stones, sand or similar substances.
k) Enter any non-public area or exhibit.
l) The use of Drones or remote-control machines are NOT permitted on the property as they can scare the animals.
4. PUBLIC LECTURES OR SPEECHES
Without prior written permission, guests are not permitted to deliver any public lecture or public speech of any kind within the farm premises.
5. FEEDING ANIMALS
Animal food is provided at the Maroota Miniature Farm ticket office for all animals. No other food is permitted to be fed to the animals.
6. ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND SMOKING
For the safety of our animals and guests, Maroota Miniature Farm is a smoke free, vape free, alcohol free and illegal drug free zone. Smoking, vaping and the consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs is prohibited within the farm premises. Maroota Miniature Farm reserves the right to ask guests to leave the premises if they are smoking, vaping, consuming alcohol, using illegal drugs or under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Maroota Miniature Farm also reserves the right to refuse entry to guests perceived to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
7. EXHIBITS, WALKWAYS AND PATHS
The exhibits, walkways and paths within Maroota Miniature Farm are designed to complement the animals and vegetation in our farm. Free roaming animals, walkways and paddocks, for example, can be dangerous. It is a condition of entry that all children must be supervised by adults at all times and that Maroota Miniature Farm are not liable for any injury, loss or damages of any kind or nature to a guest, their property or to that of any minor under the supervision of a guest whilst on Maroota Miniature Farm premises. Maroota Miniature Farm offer no guarantee that walkways and paths will be suitable for all forms of prams, strollers and wheelchairs, however the majority of pathways are all dirt.
8. GUIDE DOGS AND COMPANION ANIMALS
If you or a member of your group would like to bring a Guide or Assistance Dog to the farm, please contact us so we can discuss how to best facilitate your day with us. We appreciate you contacting us at least 72 hours prior to your visit.
9. COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY AND ARTWORKS
Guests are welcome to take photos and video for private use only. Written permission must be obtained by before taking photos, filming, creating paintings or drawings for any promotional or commercial purposes.
10. FARM OR EXHIBIT CLOSURES
Maroota Miniature Farm has the authority to close the farm or any part thereof, including any animal exhibit (animals off display) or show, at any time for reasons of adverse weather, equipment failure, maintenance and construction, or in the interests of safety and will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by a guest as the result of such closure. But will try to inform everyone, as soon as we know if any such event that may close the farm.
Maroota Miniature Farm reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove guests that do not comply with these terms and conditions of entry.
